Xiaomi Mi Max 3- The massive bezel-less battery monster is back. It was a couple years back when we first experienced the first ever bezel-less beauty cum monster- the Xiaomi Mi Max. At the time, Xiaomi Mi Max was the only bezel-less device that had its footprint in the global bezel-less smartphone market and not too many smartphone manufacturers were to chase this trend until finally, Apple decided to do something similar with the iPhone X.
After Apple pushed out the iPhone X to Apple’s fans and users worldwide, various other smartphone manufacturers began replicating the bezel-less design iPhone X was offering. Most, not realizing that Xiaomi’s Mi Max was the first ever pure bezel-less smartphone back then.
Anyhow, Xiaomi is just over its Mi 8 SE launch and its announcement of MIUI 10 (which is based on Android Oreo 8.0). Not too late after that, a report via 91Mobiles claim spotting the Mi Max 3 listed along with vital specifications on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. According to the publication, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 would sport a gigantic 6.99-inch HD+ LCD display with a massive 5,500 mAh battery. The Xiaomi Mi Max was originally known for its large bezel-less display and the battery that is perfectly adequate for it and this time too, we can see Xiaomi keep up with its trend of having both the things on point. The device would be powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC and would be coupled with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM variants. The device would be available in two storage options- 64 GB and 128 GB.
A report also claims that the device would hit the market with a dual camera setup and sure enough, Xiaomi couldn’t miss out on that in the year 2018 where smartphones have all been about the infinity notch display and the dual camera setup. For now, we only know that the device would have a 20 megapixel Sony IMX 63 primary sensor.
Another report via GizmoChina suggests that the device is expected to launch in the month of July and have high chances of housing advanced features like the wireless charging, Iris scanner and more. Also, similar to the previous Mi Max 2, the device would sport a USB Type-C for charging and data transfer.
