TLDR (Too Long, Didn’t Read):
Screen Protectors of Google’s next flagship devices- Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL surface online. The Google Pixel 3 XL would house a notch whereas the Pixel 3 would have a broad forehead instead. Both the devices would have front firing speakers like the previous Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Google also announced that with the launch of Android P, the Pixel 3 XL (the one with the notch display) would get the option to either switch the notch on or off. A detailed explanation by a reddit user adds significantly to it.
Google has augmented on significant reputation after launching the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in October 2017. The Google Pixel 2 was not only the king of Android smartphones for a long time but the fact that the device performed ‘Portrait Mode’ surprisingly well in spite of sporting a single camera lens, brought other companies to an itch. Not too late into the notch season, Google has picked up the momentum and we can see Google preparing to launch its next flagship devices- Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. We do not have any official leaks from Google’s end though. But lately, the internet has been witnessing the ‘screen protectors’ image of the two devices. The screen protectors speak a lot about the devices than any other leak would educate us.
The image has two screen protectors placed side by side in which the left piece is indicated to be that of the Google Pixel 3 and the one on the right-hand side is signaled to be that of the Google Pixel 3 XL. Clearly, the Google Pixel 3 XL is the device that would house a notch. As per the pattern goes, the Pixel 3 XL is a lot bigger as compared to the Pixel 3.
Pixel 3-3 XL front design
The front design difference between the two devices is vast. Clearly, the main highlight is the absence of the notch display on the Pixel 3 and its very significant presence on the Pixel 3 XL. Both the devices have front firing speakers. Google had been going really well in the speaker department with the Pixel 2 but it’d be awesome to see Google improve on more at this shot. The forehead and the notch have the same type of miscellaneous sensors like the ambiance lighting sensor and the front camera- along with the proximity. The side bezels on both the devices look similar and the chin of the devices are similar too. The speaker on the Google Pixel 3 XL is a little wider and slimmer on the width as compared to the Google Pixel 3.
Overall, the devices look similar to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in a few matters if not considered the notch display. A tweet from a user shows how the devices would look like in a sketch-concept.

We also got this redditor do some sincere analysis and give us a distinct idea about how the notch would be functional on the Pixel 3 XL.
Google also had stated that the next Android version- Android P would have the complete support to the notch design. Therefore, Google Pixel 3 XL would have a ‘notch on’ ‘ notch off’ functionality like the OnePlus 6 and the user will be at a liberty to chose anyone any time.
